I C A N C O U N T O N T H E S U N T O S H I N E - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -mina rubbed her eyes softly, letting them get used to the light coming from the window. she sat up, and took a look at the clock place directly on top of her drawer. it read 8:15 A.M., much to early for her to be awake. it was a saturday and she usually slept till at least ten on saturdays. extremely lazy for her to do, but she preferred to not be sleepy during the weekends, especially since she would need all the energy she could muster up for the events that occurred during the night. you would have thought that after what happened, she would have stopped partying and such, but it just seemed to grow worse and worse. she was going out almost every night now. still, mina made sure not to go overboard. that would just show how much the shooting truly affected her. but enough about that, mina didn't need to be depressed today, or any other day for that matter. the thoughts that filled her mind always ended up being worse than the last, and mina didn't need any more mourning. she had to move on with her life... right?
anyways she got up from the bed, wincing as her feet touched the floor. she made her way to the bathroom, where she got ready for whatever she was going to do today. mina didn't really have any plans, seeing as she expected to wake up a lot later. which meant any plans she had made were meant for later on in the afternoon. still, she got ready, unsure as to whether she would have enough energy to actually go out and waste some time on her own. none of her friends were awake, that much she was sure of, and there was no way she wanted to spend time with her sister or parents. which meant that she would actually have to think of a way to pass the time on her own. she groaned at the thought, but tried her best to take her time getting ready. by the time she stepped out of the bathroom it was already 9:15. she smiled lightly, that was one hour well wasted. she grabbed her cell phone, which she had left charging on her bedside drawer. she had zero texts, calls or any other missed alert.
not that she really expected anything, but still she just had to check. she ran her hand through her hair, unsure of what else she had to do. mina had finished her homework yesterday, and like was said before, any other plans she had were made till after 1. of course, that didn't mean that she wouldn't make any new plans. she grabbed her bag, placed her cell phone in there, before walking out the door and heading to her car. she got in and drove off. she didn't stop till she reached the movie theater. okay, so it was a pretty lame plan but she would surely loose two hours in there, maybe more depending on whether she would want to see another movie or not. plus, she might see someone in there that she knew, wasn't likely but still mina stepped out of her car and walked into the theater. she let her eyes look at the screenings. there was a variety of movies, which sucked for her since she wasn't that good at deciding. still she stood there, trying to see which movie sounded good. she ignored the people round here, even the people that noticed her. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - complete KICKING IT WITH anyone =D WORD COUNT six hundred CODING CREDIT lovelikethisGRAPHIC CREDIT pretty.odd MUSIC stay awake - all time low <333 NOTES pretty crappy but she has nothing xD [/ul]

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- so how did you get here under my skin? swore that i'd never let you back in! should have known better than trying to let you go 'cause here we go, go, go again. hard as i try i know i can't quit; something about you is so addictive! we're falling together; you'd think that by now i'd know 'cause here we go, go, go again. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - The sound of her cell phone going off woke Melodee from a nice, lovely sleep. It was her mom calling to ask her how she was doing. After a small conversation with her mom she looked over to the clock. The red numbers of her old-school alarm clock told her it was 8:30. Normally, Melodee slept in until at least 10 o clock. It wasn't like she had anything better to do, so she got up from bed. Walking to her bathroom, she let out a large yawn. She didn't yawn because she was tired, simply from bordeom.
Being new in town meant that Melodee rarely did anything. The fact that she did not know anyone put a very large damper on her social life. She mainly stayed in her dorm and slept. She did things that she could be by herself with. Although she had made some friends, hanging out with them was something Melodee hadn't really done a lot. She was shy and it was hard for her to muster up the courage to ask anyone to make plans. In the bathroom, she quickly showered and got dressed. A simple pair of light washed jeans, and a red tank top was here outfit of choice for the day.
Walking back into her bedroom, Melodee checked her laptop for any emails or anything that looked important. Nothing. She wasn't surprised, she wasn't all that popular and what not. She enjoyed having time alone though, it let her think things over. There was a lot on her mind, from her parents, to school and many other places. Melodee checked the clock again and it was a little bit after nine. From out her window she could see the sun and the few people that were out and about at this hour. Wondering what would be the best plan of something to do, Melodee decided she would go and take a drive to the movie theater and see what was playing. Maybe something there would give her something to do to take her mind off of her incredibly boring life.
Melodee grabbed the keys to her cute little saturn and grabbed the cash from the last check she cashed from her father. Oh how she loved the income he gave her. She put her cellphone in her pocket and locked the door behind her. The drive to the theater was a short one. When Melodee arrived at the theater she got out of the car and walked in. She could see many other people around. Old couples walking around holding hands, little kids eating candy, people buying tickets, and people just standing around were what Melodee saw in her vision. As she walked over to the ticket booth, she looked to see what movies were playing. There was a bunch she hadn't seen yet, so it was difficult to make any decisions.
As Melodee scanned the different movies playing she looked around for someone to ask for their opinion. A few feet away she spotted a girl that looked about her age. Melodee was pretty sure that she went to Carson as well. "Any suggestions?" Melodee asked smiling as she took a couple steps towards the girl. Melodee didn't want to seem like a total creeper, but she was new here. And meeting people was something she reeally wasn't good at. She took any oppurtunity to meet someone new. Instead of looking down or looking around like she normally would, Melodee kept her eyes on this girl, hoping she would talk to her.

i'll be fine, even though im not always right. I C A N C O U N T O N T H E S U N T O S H I N E - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - as much as she hated to admit it, she felt weird, being alone and all. sure, she treated her friends like shit, but it was all to protect herself. strange thinking, she knew, but most of them had not been through what she had. god, know she sounded like a victim, but whatever, as far as mina was considered, her friends didn't have that much on her plate. ever since her parents had filed for divorce, things had been pretty hectic for her, and for once she wished she had someone there to actually talk to. but the only person that mina trusted was dead, and all her other friends weren't really friends at all, most like lackeys. bitchy thing to say after all she's put them through, but she didn't care enough to consider their feelings. that was mina for you, a true cold-hearted bitch. well not that cold-hearted since it did hurt her to know that she was so vile to people, but changing had never been an option, it was a task far to difficult for mina to handle. anyways, she should have stopped thinking so much about her attitude problem, and instead focus her attention on the screen that had the various movies showing, and the time they were showing at.
still, that proved to be pointless due to her ability to get distracted easily. her thoughts moved back to her friends, and what they could have possibly been doing at this very moment. that seemed a bit stalkerish, she knew, but it was mina's job, in her mind, to know where they were at all times. she enjoyed having a control over them, which might not have been so good if they had minds of their own like most people. luckily she was home free until they realized that hanging out with her doesn't make them popular as she led them to believe. tricky on her part, but not that big of a deal considering the other stuff she's made them believe. strange to think how they could still be her friend, but mina wasn't going to question it. without here friends she was nothing but, well nothing but a bitch. at least with them she was a bitch who was kind of liked by some people. she ran a hand through her brown locks, wishing time would go faster. by the end of her little thought ramble she knew she just had to pick a movie already. but the choices in movies weren't making the decision on which to pick easy. there was "my sister's keeper" which had to do with death in some way, and mina didn't really want to cry today.
especially if her make-up would run and make her look like a raccoon. another choice was "year one" but that movie looked a little stupid, okay, so that was putting it lightly, it actually looked like an extremely idiotic movie in her opinion, plus jack black movies never interested her much. mina was about to criticize another movie, when she heard a voice near her. she turned her head only to see an older looking girl that she had never seen before, which bothered her. she took it upon herself to know everyone, maybe not their names but to at least know them. "if i had any suggestions, i wouldn't really be standing here now would i"

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- tell me, tell me, what makes you think that you are invincible? i can see it in your eyes, you're so sure; please don't tell me that i'm the only one that's vunderable, impossible. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - melodee felt herself wanting to crawl under a rock as the girl spoke back to her. sure, she wasn't all that surprised the girl had a rude tone to her. most people at Carson had attitude problems, espcecially after the shooting. a part of melodee wanted to be rude back. a part of melodee wanted to go back to how she used to be. in her mind, she went backwards, to when she had blown up at a friend for something so small. she took her words and blew them out of proportion and almost badly hurt her friend. rage had just come over her, and she never wanted it to happen again.
without hesitation, melodee shook the thoughts from her mind. that was the past, and the past was well the past. "well then," melodee said in a weird tone. she really did not know what to say back to this girl, "that makes sense." melodee ran her fingers through her sidebangs as she usually did when she felt nervous or awkward. this situation was not one melodee felt comfortable in. she really had no idea what to do or say. she just stood there looking like a complete idiot. that was something melodee did quite often. her and embarrasing moments were like peanut butter and jelly.
"the new transformers movie looks pretty good," melodee said trying to ease the tension between the two girls, "or the new johnny depp movie." at this point melodee was pretty much saying anything to not feel completely idiotic. melodee was one for more thrilling movies versus the sappy chick movies. hopefully this girl wouldn't be too agaisnt that. melodee was interested in seeing the movie with someone other than herself. maybe this girl would join her, maybe.

i'll be fine, even though im not always right. I C A N C O U N T O N T H E S U N T O S H I N E - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - if she had the emotions of any other teenager, a sense of guilt would have formed in her stomach, but mina didn't have the emotions of a teenager. her emotions only consisted of angry and angrier, and she was bent on making other's feel the same way as her. she was surprised that this girl was not taken back by her rude tone and words, but that only proved that this girl was fresh meat, trying to fit in by taking mina's harsh words. girls like her were instantly welcomed by mina, even more if she had been the first to kind of discover her. she took great pride into molding young, naive girls into what she wanted. maybe that's why her friends remained with her for so long, she was there when no one was, of course no one was there for them because they were afraid of her, or they just hated her. still, as soon as the malicious though entered mina's mind, her stomach began churning.
the sense of pride she had felt when the girl didn't get mad at her for being a bitch suddenly wore down, and for the first time in what seemed ages, guilt set in. mina was unsure why exactly, maybe because a part of her wanted mina to change, for the better. although mina wanted that as well, a major part of her knew that it was too difficult and might not work out in her favor. some people might not have known it, but she hated being being. still she had to for her own well being and she was not going to let some insolent girl make her think differently. anyways, she was now staring at her, taking in her appearance and all. she was pretty, definitely new bait for the boys at school. jealousy started to fill her but she shook that feeling of instantly. some girl wasn't going to make her feel both guilty and jealous in such a short period of time. she considered ignoring her but them decided against that.
it might have been good getting to know her, find her weakness or just see her general personality. "of course it does"
mina said, showing off a smile that showed her perfect teeth. the smile was a sign that showed mina had found a new victim, one that she was set on exploiting. "yeah, it does but i do love a good johnny depp movie. after all those have more depth that movies about people running around"she added. she took a quick look to see what the girls reaction might have been, before she remembered that she had yet to tell the girl her name. she didn't want the girl to keep thinking of her as just another girl, that was mina's job after all. "im mina, you should probably know that if you're going to keep me company while i watch a movie"she said coolly. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- tell me, tell me, what makes you think that you are invincible? i can see it in your eyes, you're so sure; please don't tell me that i'm the only one that's vunderable, impossible. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - the fact that the girl even repsonded back to melodee alone made her feel a tinsy bit of confidence in continuing this conversation. a smile came across her face as well. a real genuine smile, not a fake smile either. melodee needed a friend, and this girl was popular. she had seen her around school. if melodee could even just be seen with her, maybe other people would begin to talk to her and she wouldn't have to be so god damn alone all the time. sure being alone was relaxing, but a girl needs a friend like, well like a fat kid needs his cake.
melodee glanced around the room before replying. watching people was a trait melodee had easily aquired. she could assume the people who worked here hated their jobs. she watched as one person was told to mop the bathroom. it was reasons like this that made melodee glad she had her daddy's money to keep her from getting a job. hell, if she had to work, she would probably die. and that was not something she would ever look foreword too.
"yeah, johnny depp movies are always good," melodee said with a small laugh at the way the girl spoke about some other movies. "hello there mina, i'm melodee," she said debating whether or not to extend her hand. figuring it would be for the best, she kept her hands at her side. as melodee looked at the girl, she wondered why a pretty girl like mina was at the movies this early in the morning, and alone. melodee had her reasons, lonliness, but mina didn't seem lonely. she gave off an aura of confidence and self-esteem, if only melodee could attain such things. "you go to carson too i'm guessing," she said in a matter-of-factly tone. "so have we made a decision?" she said looking back at the movie selections.

I C A N C O U N T O N T H E S U N T O S H I N E - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - it didn't take long for mina to noticed the girl's attitude change. she tried hiding a smirk, the girl's smile showed that she might actually like mina, which was easier for her. that meant it wouldn't take long to get her wrapped around her finger. yes, i know, it's impossible to believe that someone like mina would actually want to change, but her mind was wired differently than others. anyways, she shook her dakr brown hair out of her face and looked back at the movies. honestly, she would have liked to see transformers, just for the mere fact that shia lebouf came out in it, but she couldn't let melodee get what she wanted, even if it was as minimul as this. she would have to work for her opinion to be recognized.
of course, she needed to know this girl well enough to see if she even wanted her to be mina's "friend". obviously she had looks, that was a plus that made even mina glow with jealousy, and she appeared a bit shy, which was another plus with mina. made it easier to scare things into her. anyways, those facts might have made anyone else happy, but not mina. she needed to know as much as possible for the two options that were crossing through her mind. either get her and and make her stay in, or kick her out of her little minion group and use the information she had given mina to her advantage. in the end the girl could very well end up screwed over, unless she failed to participate.
yes, it sounded like a competion, one that mina was set on winning. "does melodee have a last name"
mina asked. first thing to remember when asking about a person, is that when asking their name, you have to pay extra attention to the last name. they could very well be related to someone of some importance that you could meet before you kick them to the curb.she looked back up at the screen, although shia lebouf was gorgeous, the johnny depp movie would give them a better chance to talk, since there might not have been as many loud noises. "obviously, it is the best school out there. well when it comes to academic and all that"she added, lowering her head down a bit. it wasn't really the best at controlling bullying that caused her best friend to die. tears were threatening to fall from her eyes, but she controlled herself in time. mina looked up again and answered her third question, in a voice that signaled melodee should not ask her about her miniscule meltdown. "yeah, i'll take care of it"mina said with a small smirk. one of the people selling tickets owed her a favor, and right now she couldn't very well pay for her tickets now could she? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- is anybody out there? hello alone; broken hearts like promises. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - melodee could sense that this girl was at least half-attempting to be nice to her. it was quite obvious that the girl was debating whether or not melodee was even worth her time. honestly, melodee didn't really care what this girls' motives were behind befriending her. she knew how to keep herself in control, as well as not let others walk all over her. okay, so that was a bit of a lie. it was easy for anyone to convince melodee to do anything. it was one of her biggest character flaws. the reason behind the trouble she got in when she was little. melodee would meet someone and they would ask her to do something as a favor, and of course, melodee would do it. as a little girl she had always been desperate to make friends. what a stupid little naive girl. the only problem, that stupid, little, naive girl still existed somewhere inside this seventeen year olds body.
there was a bit of confusion left on melodee's face when mina asked for her last name. it really was an odd question. why would you need to know a last name? wouldn't a first name suffice? instead of standing there looking confused melodee answered the simple question, "trenton." yes, it wasn't the fanciest last name, but it was her last name, and it was all she was gonna get until she decided one day to get married and such. personally, she didn't really like her last name. it was the name of a place in new jersey, that she had actually lived in. the trenton's in trenton. lovely, right? not. melodee always had thought about changing her name, but she knew her mother wouldn't like that. not that her mom didn't see a problem in changing her own name when she got married, or taking her husbands name for that matter.
"yeah, that's why my mom was keen enough to send me here by myself. they sent her a letter talking about all their academic benefits and blah blah blah," she said trying to not notice the fact that the girl put her head down for a minute. mina was obviosuly affected greatly by the shooting, but a lot of people were. melodee knew that it was a soft subject for her new 'friend' so she didn't say anything more on the subject, grateful mina had directed her attention to something else.
not paying for her own ticket made melodee feel a little bit uncomfortable. she knew that mina had no intention of actually paying for them, but still. "you sure?" melodee asked not really knowing what was going on or anything. she just kept a smile on her face hoping nothing would show through to mina.

i'll be fine, even though im not always right. I C A N C O U N T O N T H E S U N T O S H I N E - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - most people would have found it easy to be nice, but it killed mina, not literally. she was not used to this sudden change in attitude, and although it was fake, she had to admit it sounded better than her bitter attitude. still, she only had to be like that for a few hours, which would have given her enough time to figure out if this girl was good enough to even be near her, let alone hang out with her. like she said before, she had the looks but her personality didn't sem to be enough. mina liked shy, but not too shy and definetly not too nice, yet not mean enough to upstand her. yes, confusing as fuck, but mina didn't always make sense, which would have fine if it were not for the fact that she had a job to do, or at least that's how she referred to weeding out the weak from the not as weak.
asking her last name might have seemed normal to anyone who lived around, or anyone who had already made a name for themselves. still she noticed confusion seeting in melodee's face, and a smile appeared. her old town must have been different from here, because here, people actually cared about yoir finacial status, or at least important peole cared. after all, mina had a rich lawyer daddy, and her mother was filthy rich as well so there really wasn't anything that could keep her from acting superior to others. she reapeated the last name in her head, trying to see if she remebered any person with that name that was of some importance. after a second she couldn't think of a person with that last name. she was worried, after all she might have missed someone and that wouldn't have been good if she decided to kick melodee out of her group of "friends".
it dawned on her another second later, that melodee might as well have been a nobody. well not might as well have been, she was a nobody, and that wouldn't do. still just because she wasn't well know didn't mean that she didn't have old money to her name. honestly, carson high school was supposed to be such a good school but it's lack of security didn't help. as far as mina was concrned, if security was bad then what was the point of good grades, especially if the kids were just going to end up dead. she had to hold back tears once more before she finally got around to answering melodee. "yeah, it's all a load of bullshit. we're all smart and stuff but it doesn't really matter, to the people at the top of the social latter anyways."
mina added. of course, she didn't add that being msart was just icing on the cake. for ocne, she was glad melodee didn't speak much, since she refrained from asking mina questions about her sudden change in behavious. "of course, after all friends invite friends dont' they."mina asked, with a devilish smile on her face. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -looking around the lobby of the theater, melodee was somewhat saddened by the fact that not many others were around. maybe if someone else that mina knew showed up, this whole situation wouldn't be as..weird. something in melodee could tell this mina was bad news. but something also in melodee wanted to be friends with her. being friends with popular people always seemed to work out to melodee's advantage. well, that was as long as she could control her jealously. but she was working on that. or at least, her parents thought she was, but she figured she could handle her anger by herself. she didn't need some overpayed therapist telling her what to do. she had a mind, and she could use it.
most people bought melodee's sweet and innocent exterior. but noone knew that inside of her was a monster. a monster that hated, a monster that was fine with killing. even if it was by accident. that's what everyone had believed last time. when melodee 'accidentally' killed her best friend. but melodee knew the truth, her friend had been better then her, and had started to use that agaisnt her, and melodee didn't like that. so she pushed her off the top of the slide. those things really should have warnings, the grass looked a lot softer then it actually had been. noone even thought that a thirteen year old girl could even do such a thing. everyone put it off as an accident. it was the easiest thing to get away with, but that was then. and melodee wished it would never happen again. but monsters were always hard to control.
mina speaking let melodee's thoughts get away from her past. and right now, she was pretty thankful for that. "totally, isn't that how it always is?" melodee said, trying to make it seem like she wasn't zoning out. melodee had noticed that while everyone at carson was smart, everyone had social standing as well. people were wealthy, famous and just popular. melodee knew that something in her was good enough to make it with these people, and she just hoped they could see that. more for their benefit then hers. this school had already gone through enough in the past four months, they didn't need something more to deal with.
"yeah," melodee said flashing a smile in response to mina. something about mina just made her seem exactly the kind of girl most people would stay away from, but melodee just couldn't help herself. she was determined to make this girl like her. no matter what it takes.

I C A N C O U N T O N T H E S U N T O S H I N E - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - mina looked at melodee and noticed she was looking around. who could blame her? she must have felt so out of place, after all she was hanging out with one of the most popular girls at carson. she must have been worried about all the people who were probably wondering why a girl like her would be hanging out with mina. yes, mina thought that highly of herself. you could say she had a big-head. only she would think that melodee was thinking that and not thinking of something else. why would she? when you were with mina your attention and thoughts had to be focused on her. okay, so she was hoping for a little too much but she didn't give a damn. she looked at melodee once more, not too happy with what she saw. mina had been expecting some sort of answer by now but she could tell melodee's thought were not even on her anymore.
of course, her thoughts didn't have anything to do with melodee either. well the thoughts that were too busy obessesing over other things that mina would haver rather not talked about. a satisfied smirk appeared on her face when melodee finally took the time to speak. of course, mina hadn't spoken that long ago. "yes, and since it's like that here you have to remember not too piss off any of the people that might be kind enough to take you to the top
mina said, obviously hinting that melodee had to do everything to make mina happy with her. she wasn't really going to let melodee in that way, but it was nice to let the girl think she would be able to be at the top, at least until she figured out what she was doing was pointless. anyways, she was getting pretty off point here, the movie would be starting soon as she had yet to even get the ticket. as soon as melodee told her yeah, she walked to the front of the line, to the dismay of many of the people who had already been waiting. but mina could care less, her sights were set upon one of the boys selling tickets. she had kind of been melodee along with her, since she had no idea what mina's idea's of getting tickets meant. "hey jack, think you can get me some tickets. i'll be sure to pay you back later" mina added that last part seductively. so, she was kind of a bit of a slut in that sense, but did anyone think she would bother paying? mina was too good for that, in her mind anyways. he gulped a couple of times before handing her a ticket. "i think your forgetting my friend"she added, before pointing at melodee. he handed her one more ticket, his hand shaking fiercely. "thanks"she added, before blowing him a kiss and turning back to melodee. "so are you ready"mina asked, completely unaware that this was kind of shocking to people who had never seen the employees give free tickets, even to their friends. MAYBE, YOU'RE GONNA BE THE ONE THAT SAVES ME - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - A N D A F T E R A L L Y O U ' R E M Y W O N D E R W A L L
a part of the logic in melodee's head told her to play along with whatever mina was doing and thinking. if she followed her plan, mina could bring her to the top, a place she loved to be, always. being popular was something most people found terrifying, but melodee found it invigorating. it gave her a reason to want something new. at her old school melodee was a science lab freak, and most people looked down at her. but now, carson was her place to be different. it was her turn to be wanted and looked up to by weird little freshman. it was finally time for melodee to change her image. she had been so many different things in the past years. every time she started a new school she would join a new clique. she wanted to see all kinds of life. truthfully, she was never satisfied. to her, there could always be something bigger and better at the next school. that was part of the reason melodee was actually excited to be changing schools to carson. she could try being the popular kid, and right now, that seemed to be working quite well. she just had to keep up her image around mina and make sure she didn't make herself look like a complete idiot.
there was a part of melodee that didn't think she needed mina, that she could be popular and have friends all on her own. but why not have a person to work with. it made things much easier. and more fun and interesting. if she could convince mina anything, she could convince anyone. "of course, i would be crazy to do anything like that," melodee said. it was that statement that made melodee realize what she was getting herself into. she would have to keep this mina girl happy to get where she wanted. but she wasn't worried about that. if mina even tried to mess with her, melodee knew her anger would most likely get the best of her. and poor mina might have to find that out the hard way. not that melodee wanted to hurt anyone. it just seemed to be part of the way she was programmed.
melodee couldn't help but smile as she watched how mina went and got the tickets. that was how most girls got things done. show a little skin, do a little flirting, and a girl could have anything she wanted. melodee could see the uneasiness in the boys gesture. it made melodee want to laugh at the poor pathetic boy falling under the popular girls' spell. when mina turned around and pointed to melodee, she managed to give a little wave to the boy behind the counter. she knew it would need a little work, but she would be able to get whatever she wanted one day too. practice makes perfect, right? always. "nice," melodee added as mina walked back to where she was standing. mina definitely knew what she was doing, and that was exactly what melodee wanted.
most people would have probably been more impressed with what mina had done, but melodee had seen it before. there were girls like mina all over the world. melodee had to admit to herself that mina was not one a kind. but she was what melodee needed right now. and hopefully, that was enough. "totally ready," she said smiling back to mina. turning around to rescan the room to see where everything was, melodee realized she had no idea where to go. "care to show the way," she said putting her hand out in front of mina so she wouldn't look like a lost puppy wondering around the movie theater.

i'll be fine, even though im not always right. I C A N C O U N T O N T H E S U N T O S H I N E - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - was it strange of her to continued changing her mind about this girl. mina didn't quite know, but she was sure what she wanted in the end would not disappoint her. there was a part of her that felt bad for melodee and wanted to help her terribly, but there was a whole different side of her, the side that controlled ,most of her actions, that wanted to do it differently. that part of her was telling her to ruin melodee's chances of even getting half way to the top. although it was an evil plan in other's eyes, it seemed to be perfect for this current situation. she honestly had no interest in the girl, she would just blend into the background while mina stole the spotlight, and as much as she enjoyed having more people to boss around, she could not handle letting someone in that might have began lashing out later on. a game of hot and cold would be best played, and trust me when i say that mina would have the upper hand in the end. she might have been a small girl, in stature, but she made a big impact in any world. it was hard to explain but the one thing that could be seen was that mina was definitely one you didn't want to mess with, because she could literally tear anyone apart, though she had yet to do it.
mina knew that her confident appearance was what made her so popular. even if someone tried tearing her down, she would always come out of situations unscathed. and yet, there was a weak child inside that no one seemed to know about, not that mina would even dare mention it to anyone. seeming weak in high school, especially one like carson, was the worst thing any teenager could commit. she had made sure never cross the weak now, and look at her. at the age of sixteen she was already known, sure she was kind of hated and feared by some, but she could have cared less. after all she was the one who had people practically begging to be her friends. kind of like melodee here, who thought by she was getting on mina's good side. boy was she going to be disappointed when she found out the thoughts coursing through mina's mind. a smile crossed her face when melodee said that, mina had expected nothing more. "good, because not everyone takes things lightly"
mina said darkly. it was fun playing this game, even if she had no idea of the consequences that could possibly hurt her. so she continued to play along, unworried about anything. although using her beauty was nothing new to mina, she knew it would have been fascinating to any other person, after all not many people knew how to use their assets, which was why mina was glad she knew how to use what she had to her advantage. she might not have been breathtakingly beautiful but she was not a troll either. it was all a matter of flaunting the good stuff and hiding the bad. she could feel melodee's eyes on her, with about a dozen others watching as mina ignored the line and just did what she did best. she might not have been able to see them, but she was sure there was at least a few people that gave her disapproving looks. probably pissed because they had been waiting forever, or so they thought. when she turned, she could barely see melodee waving, smart move on her part. mina had to admit that melodee seemed to be learning rather quickly, she was about to change her mind once more, till she realized how much she would enjoy embarrassing yet another girl. when she went to get the tickets, she made sure her hands made contact with his, instantly causing his cheeks to turn a cherry red color. she was glad to hear the word slip out of melodee's mouth as soon as mina walked over to her. "i know" she said, a smirk on her face. she was a bit upset that melodee was not gushing about what she had done, but she didn't think too much into it. "obviously" mina said, she had to lead after all, it was her rightful duty. the lackeys always had to stay behind the main one. she led the way to where they had to give the tickets, slightly peeved at the line, but taking it as an opportunity to let melodee tell her more about herself.
