and i've been roleplaying since you were a wee babe. i'm too old, and i found you through my anus. as you can see, i enjoy using SHAUN WHITE as a play-by. oh, and if you want to see what i can do, check out the role play sample. yeah, i'm awesome. i know ! [/blockquote][/blockquote]` I DARE SAY THAT I'VE HEARD OF YOU BEFORE. REMIND ME AGAIN, WHAT'S THE NAME YOUR PARENTS GAVE YOU, ANY SIGNIFICANCE ?- - - - - Well, my full name is Sloane Lee Becker. It's not really too special, but I've never met anyone else with the name Sloane. I'm sure someone else has it though. Anyway, I'm not quite sure why my parents decided to name me Sloane Lee. I don't really think there was any reason for it, other than they just liked the way it sounded. I, myself, never really thought much about it either, so I don't blame them. Then again, my parents are a little bit off the deep end, so I wouldn't put something like this past them. I get a lot of comments about my last name being the name of some sitcom, but I honestly have no idea what they're talking about, so I kinda just smile and laugh it off.
` REMIND ME AGAIN, WHEN WERE YOU BORN ? I CAN NEVER GET ENOUGH OF THE STORY SURROUNDING YOUR BIRTH.- - - - - I'm eighteen years old as of last November. The 20th, actually. I was born in San Francisco, California and lived in a small town house on the corner of Haight and Ashbury. Locally, we call it "The Haight", but it's really not all that important. As you could probably guess, my parents were pretty hella involved with the whole anti-war movement in the 60's and shit, and pretty much made it a point to move to The Haight in during that whole "Summer of Love" gig. Though, when I was around ten years old they moved us to Carson and we've been here ever since.
` YOU LOOK FAMILIAR, HAVE I SEEN YOU AROUND SCHOOL ?- - - - - I dropped out last year, and I don't really regret it at all. School was pretty much just a nuisance and was getting in the way of things that I really wanted to do. Besides, I always made pretty shitty grades anyway. But it's not like a sit on my ass all day either; I work full time at a skate and surf shop right down the road from my house and get compete in demos for the shop from time to time. It's a pretty sweet gig, really and I can't complain.
` MAYBE IT WAS JUST AROUND. WHERE ARE YOU FROM ?- - - - - Well, like I already said, I was born in San Francisco and lived on The Haight 'till I was about ten. I have some pretty fond memories of that place, and I try to visit back whenever I can. It's an easy place to score some bud, so we usually just stake out an abandoned warehouse or a friend's place and toke up for a few days. But yeah, when I was a kid I remember my mom taking me down to all these pretty groovy shops. They all smelled of the same kind of incense and the explosion of color that seemed to come from the flags, and wind chimes, and little glass sculptures in the windows was pretty fuckin' incredible. Of course, I've been back there since, but that one memory kinda stuck with me. Or at least, the impression did.
` OKAY, BE HONEST HERE. WHICH ARE YOU IN TO MORE: GUYS OR DOLLS ? DON'T WORRY, MY LIPS ARE SEALED.- - - - - Man, I've never been one to anything in a box, much less slap a label on something as abstract as love and attraction. In all honesty, I refuse to limit myself to any gender. I fall for whoever I fall far, man or woman, and I won't be shy to admit that. There's just too many rules and regulations and ridiculous "social norms" that we've all been pretty much brainwashed to follow. Yes, I had sex with girls and yes, I've had sex with guys, but really it's much more than that. It's about appreciation and unconditional love for your fellow human beings, regardless of gender, orientation, race, or whatever other personal preferences they might have. Abolish stereotypes, and find the meaning within yourself.
` ALRIGHT, ON TO THE GOOD STUFF. WHAT DO YOU DO IN YOUR SPARE TIME ? ANY FAVORITE PASTIMES ?- - - - - I've already mentioned it quite a few times, but I'm hella into skateboarding. I have been ever since I was a kid, around eight or nine. Growing up in California was obviously the ideal place to pick it up, being the birth place of it to begin with. But yeah, as I got older I kept it up and even picked up surfing and snowboarding (at least in the winter). Naturally, my number one is still skating, but the others are fun to dabble in. I can also play the guitar, though, not extremely well or anything like that. I just know a few chords and taught myself a couple of acoustic songs here and there. It's a good pastime when business at the shop is slow.
` TELL ME: WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE THINGS IN THE ENTIRE WORLD ? THINGS THAT JUST MAKE YOU WANT TO SMILE.- - - - - Skateboarding, weed, magazines concerning topics of interest, reading, doodling badly, spray painting, physical attention, drinking, parties, socializing, intellectual conversation, long dark hair on girls, eating, music of all sorts, live shows, flirting, the beach.
` AND SADLY, WE ALL KNOW THERE ARE THINGS WE JUST CAN'T STAND. WHAT ARE YOUR'S ?- - - - - Closed minded conservatives, sex with limits, discrimination of any kind, puking, religion (not spirituality), ignorant people, being told what I can and cannot do, getting smoke in my eye, the police.
` ANY SHORT OR LONG TERM GOALS ? WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN FIVE YEARS ? IN TEN ? HOW DO YOU PLAN TO GET THERE ?- - - - - I'm actually pretty content with the way my life is going now. I wouldn't want anything to change for the world. I love my job, and I love what I do. Not to mention I'm hella good at it. The only thing I could really hope for is get better at skating and score a few more gigs. I also plan to move back to San Fran as soon as I can rake up enough cash. I'll probably get an apartment and put out an add for a roommate and see how that works out. I definitely don't want to leave California though, at least not for any lengthy period of time.
` WHAT MAKES YOU QUAKE IN YOUR BOOTS ? IF YOU HAD TO PICK ONE THING THAT HAS SCARED YOU THE MOST, WHAT WOULD IT BE ?- - - - - I've been thinking about this question for some time now, and the only thing I can really think of is dying before I get to experience everything I want to experience in life. In other words, I'm afraid of dying young. I want to at least try live my life to the fullest (as cliché as that may sound), and do as many things as I possibly can. But then again, if it's my time, then it's my time and I can't really do much about that.
` IS THERE A SIGNIFICANT OTHER IN YOUR LIFE ? HOW DO YOU DO WITH RELATIONSHIPS ?- - - - - I've had a few serious relationships through the years, but none that really lasted particularly long. I don't have a problem with relationships, and if someone comes along that I find myself extremely attracted to on more than one level then I'd very well consider asking him/her to go steady. But as of now I'm single, and I'm sort of enjoying it. It gives me a little bit more freedom as opposed to if I were in a serious relationship. Not that you can't be free when you're with somebody, but, your lips sure as hell can't wander around.
` NOW, YOU KNOW THAT I ADORE YOU, BUT LET'S TALK ABOUT SOME OTHER PEOPLE FOR A BIT. A LITTLE BIRD TOLD ME THAT YOU HAVE SOME PRETTY EXTRAVAGANT PARENTS, TELL ME ABOUT THEM.- - - - - My mom's name is Joan Fletcher (maiden name), and my dad's is Jeffery Becker. They're both a little on the older side, in their late fifties. They co-own a small nutritional/organic foods store a few miles down the road from where we live. My mom also teaches a yoga class on the side to bring in a little extra income. Though I still live at home, I make enough on my own to basically buy my own essentials.
` DANG. ANY OTHER IMPORTANT PEOPLE IN YOUR FAMILY ? DID YOUR PARENTS HAVE ANY OTHER CHILDREN ?- - - - - No siblings, surprisingly enough. I'm the only child, and I think my parents are almost thankful about that. As far as important people go, my aunt and uncle live back up in San Fran. I usually spend a few days with them when I go up there to visit. We're pretty tight - they've always been close with our family.
` HOW ABOUT PETS, HAVE ANY OF THOSE ?- - - - - We have one pet. A ball python named Sammy Davis Jr., Jr. After Sammy Davis Jr. obviously. I'm not really sure how the name came about, but I'm pretty sure my uncle came up with it and it just sort of stuck. I kind of dig it. It suits him well.
` OKAY, YOU HAVE TO HAVE KNOWN THAT WE WERE GOING TO ASK. WHAT'S YOUR BEST KEPT SECRET ? I WON'T TELL !- - - - - I'm not exactly proud of it, but I'm not going to waste any of my time denying it either. I'm bulimic, and I have been for about four years. I'm not sure how it all started, but my best guess was that I went through a time where I was highly insecure with myself. There really was no reason for it either. But regardless of reason I managed to start a pretty bad habit that I've carried to this day. I'm not going to lie, it does effect my health and my stamina. I've blacked out a couple of times from exerting myself too much physically, which isn't really conducive to my skateboarding regiment.------------------------------------------------------------
