------------------------------------------------------------
and i've been roleplaying for fifty billion years. i'm five months old, and i found you through a vortex. as you can see, i enjoy using jayma mays as a play-by. oh, and if you want to see what i can do, check out the role play sample. yeah, i'm awesome. i know ! [/blockquote][/blockquote]` I DARE SAY THAT I'VE HEARD OF YOU BEFORE. REMIND ME AGAIN, WHAT'S THE NAME YOUR PARENTS GAVE YOU, ANY SIGNIFICANCE ?- - - - - My name is Irene Armelia Amperiadis, but please, you can call me Irene. Or, because my name is such a mouthful, Ms. A. That really is only for my students; outside of school, I’m simply Irene.
` REMIND ME AGAIN, WHEN WERE YOU BORN ? I CAN NEVER GET ENOUGH OF THE STORY SURROUNDING YOUR BIRTH.- - - - - Excuse me! It’s impolite to ask a woman her age! But thank God, I’m not that old... well, okay. I’m twenty-nine. It makes me cringe to think I’ll be thirty in a year... shocking, is it not? I feel my skin sagging already. Anyway! I was born in ’81, to Greek immigrants. They were quite surprised to find their daughter with a full head of red hair and pale skin, but who knows? I guess I was just special.
` YOU LOOK FAMILIAR, HAVE I SEEN YOU AROUND SCHOOL ?- - - - - I've been teaching here at Carson for three years now; I'm the history teacher. While I teach a World Civilization course, I specialize particularly in American History. It's fascinating! To learn about our nation's development into what it is today is so interesting, and it has always been my pleasure to educate others on the subject. History is wonderful!
` MAYBE IT WAS JUST AROUND. WHERE ARE YOU FROM ?- - - - - I'm originally from Astoria, New York. I was the first-born daughter to Greek immigrants, and so, my parents pushed me hard to be successful. When I graduated high school, I attended Stanford and decided to focus on becoming a teacher. Back then, I didn't know what subject I wanted to teach, but soon history beckoned me in its lovely charm. Finding a job was difficult; I knew a lot, and wouldn't settle for some simple public school. That's how I discovered Carson. I've been here ever since!
` OKAY, BE HONEST HERE. WHICH ARE YOU IN TO MORE: GUYS OR DOLLS ? DON'T WORRY, MY LIPS ARE SEALED.- - - - - Oh, please! How could you even ask me this? I am, in fact, heterosexual: I won't say straight, because it suggests that being so is in fact the "correct" way to go. I am all for gay rights, and I support gay marriage. But I? I have eyes for only guys.
` ALRIGHT, ON TO THE GOOD STUFF. WHAT DO YOU DO IN YOUR SPARE TIME ? ANY FAVORITE PASTIMES ?- - - - - Well, of course I love teaching. But I do enjoy bike-riding, swimming, dancing... heh, I'm quite the Olympian, aren't I? It's a Greek thing. Anywho, I do love a good movie, and cooking! Oh my God! Have you ever even a gyro? I simply make the best lamb gyros. You should try it!
` TELL ME: WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE THINGS IN THE ENTIRE WORLD ? THINGS THAT JUST MAKE YOU WANT TO SMILE.- - - - - History, that's number one and most important. Romance movies, sports, Jethro Tull... Ian Anderson is an amazing flutist. Have you ever given them a listen? I also like apple pie, the smell of Sharpies, and fresh pieces of chalk. I also love seeing my students participate and speak their futures: an inquisitive student is an excellent student! And, uh, what else? I actually like spiders; I had a pet tarantula when I was eight. His name was Human-Man... heh, do you get it no? No? Well, that's another thing. I like corny jokes. I guess almost anything makes me laugh.
` AND SADLY, WE ALL KNOW THERE ARE THINGS WE JUST CAN'T STAND. WHAT ARE YOUR'S ?- - - - - I'm not fond of bigots, racists, homophobes, anyone who discriminates... I'm all for equality, and fairness. I also really do not like the dark. Anything black bothers me... except the people, of course! Oh dear. Let's move on to something else. I don't like Phil Collins, he just annoys me, and I also really do not like the band U2. They just piss me off? Is that weird? I also hate backstabbers, liars, and people who are rude. Why can't everyone like each other?
` ANY SHORT OR LONG TERM GOALS ? WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN FIVE YEARS ? IN TEN ? HOW DO YOU PLAN TO GET THERE ?- - - - - My mom, a strong believer of marrying young and popping out as many children as you can, always nags me about being single. Like I need a reminder I'm about to hit thirty! Sure, I'd love to marry. Have kids. But right now I'm focused on my job. My students are my children, or so it feels like. Who needs a future when you're content with your present?
` WHAT MAKES YOU QUAKE IN YOUR BOOTS ? IF YOU HAD TO PICK ONE THING THAT HAS SCARED YOU THE MOST, WHAT WOULD IT BE ?- - - - - Ever since the shooting, I've been having nightmares. Not just of getting shot, but dying. Someone stabs me, I drown, I choke on a piece of steak (what gives? I'm a vegetarian). But I always die. I almost died in reality, but thanks to Ryder Hynes... well, I'm still here. But will I always be? That's just it. I'm afraid of not existing.
` IS THERE A SIGNIFICANT OTHER IN YOUR LIFE ? HOW DO YOU DO WITH RELATIONSHIPS ?- - - - - Oh, gee. This is a tough question. Men usually are intimidated of me; I won't be modest and say I didn't realize I was smart. I know I am. I've had boyfriends, sure, and have had my heart broken plenty of times. But most guys never seem that interested, you know? Except for one man of course; Ryder Hynes. He used to creep me out, but now... I don't know. You think I should give him a chance?
` NOW, YOU KNOW THAT I ADORE YOU, BUT LET'S TALK ABOUT SOME OTHER PEOPLE FOR A BIT. A LITTLE BIRD TOLD ME THAT YOU HAVE SOME PRETTY EXTRAVAGANT PARENTS, TELL ME ABOUT THEM.- - - - - My parents, Oretes and Agatone Amperiadis, came to the States when they were both in their early twenties. They opened a coffee shop in Astoria, and I was born shortly after. As of now, my folks are still together and very much in love.
` DANG. ANY OTHER IMPORTANT PEOPLE IN YOUR FAMILY ? DID YOUR PARENTS HAVE ANY OTHER CHILDREN ?- - - - - Parents "very much in love" tend to express it in a lot of ways, and I suppose the lack of birth control is one. I have five siblings. Yes! A large family. My sisters, Luna and May, and my three brothers, Harry, David, and Roland. Luna was born in 1983, just married, and lives and works as an accountant in Tulsa. May was born in '85 and is in grad school; her twin brother Harry is a producer in San Francisco. And then David, born in 1990, is enrolled at UCLA and Roland is still in high school, back home in Astoria. I suppose it's hard to keep track of my family, but I do love them dearly, and keep in touch with them.
` HOW ABOUT PETS, HAVE ANY OF THOSE ?- - - - - My family had so many pets... but the one I loved most was Human-Man. Yeah, I suppose it's silly, but he was my pet tarantula. It's a reference to Spider-Man, 'cause you know... he's human, but like a spider. And my spider, with a human name... do you get it? No? Okay, well, I loved him dearly, but unfortunately he died when I was twelve. He lived a long, happy life. I suppose.
` OKAY, YOU HAVE TO HAVE KNOWN THAT WE WERE GOING TO ASK. WHAT'S YOUR BEST KEPT SECRET ? I WON'T TELL !- - - - - You know, I always thought Ryder Hynes was kind of weird. He seemed like a pretty cool teacher, and I know his students love him, but he wasn't really my thing. He actually creeped me out at first. But now... since the shooting... I'm not sure what to think. I think I may have a crush on him.------------------------------------------------------------
oh hai there, CARSON HIGH ! my name is face!
YOUR MOM LIKES BIG JUICY... tomatoes. I want a tomato. Don't you?
