by the time saturday rolled around, oliver was just about fed up with doing anything. between school work, and everything that was going on with sarina, oliver rarely had time for anything, especially sleep. it was around twelve noon when the sun coming through the curtains in his room finally woke oliver. groaning he realized he couldn't sleep any longer. it was relatively easy for him to pull himself out of bed, considering this was how he felt almost every morning. tired and drained. luckily for him, noone was around to see him like this. he preferred for people to see him as he usually was, happy and energetic. from what he could tell, his parents weren't around. they usually spent saturday's out and about. they were relatively busy people. but they made time for oliver here and now, and he was thankful for that.
oliver managed to find some clothes and get dressed. he figured he would try and do something this afternoon. as he continued to look around his room, he ran his fingers through his messy hair, and just shook his head. his hair was always messy, he barely ever felt the need to comb it. glancing around near his bed, his eyes fell upon a picture of him and sarina. it was a picture from last valentines day. they were so happy then. that was before the shooting, before her sister got hurt, before she secluded herself from everyone. that was when they were still completely and totally in love. but now, oliver wasn't even sure of that anymore, he wasn't sure of anything. looking at the picture, he figured today would be a good day to hang out with sarina, maybe take her out. he knew it would be a difficult thing to do, but he knew she needed it. and at least if he went over to her house, he would be able to say hello to skylar. no, he shouldn't be thinking about skylar. he loved sarina, and sarina only. he was not interested in her little sister. that was just not possible. but for some odd reason, thoughts of skylar tended to fill his mind constantly.
grabbing his cellphone off his bedside table, he dialed sarina's number, only to get her voicemail. not that she was surprised, she never really answered, unless he called a bunch of times. he knew she loved him, she was just going through a hard time. "hey sarina, it's oliver. i'm stopping by. be there soon. love you," he said after the designated beep. he knew she was probably not going to be extremely happy to see him, but she tended to warm up once they started talking. closing his phone shut, oliver stuck his phone in his pocket, grabbed his wallet and made his way out of the house.
the drive to the beaufort residence was a short one. pretty much everyone in town lived awfully close to each other. you really only had to drive to go out of town, but most people drove everywhere anyways. it was a way to show off your cars and what not. pulling up to sarina's house, he couldn't tell if anyone was around. the usual cars were in the driveway, and nothing seemed wrong. if no one knew the tragedy this family had been through, they would never be able to tell from the way their house always looked so perfect. it was just another testament to the saying 'never judge a book by it's cover.'
oliver rang the doorbell out of habit. both of sarina's parents were used to him coming over. in the old days he was practically a part of their family. heck, he still pretty much was, but in a different way. he was there to bring a smile to their faces everytime they let him in. but that was why they loved him, and they loved how much he cared about sarina. sarina's mom answered the door and greeted him with a nice hello. oliver could see skylar in the other room. before making his way up to sarina's room, he threw her a small wave and smiled towards her. she looked incredibly adorable just sitting there watching tv. she was a cute little girl. no, stop. he had to stop thinking about skylar. today was about sarina, and sarina only. she was the only girl in his life, and he needed to make sure she knew that. she needed him. and honestly, he needed her.
"sarina, it's me oliver." he said with a small knock on her door. he wasn't sure if she wanted to see him, so he wasn't going to just barge right into her room. one thing oliver could call himself was a gentleman. he wanted to put what sarina wanted first. and if she didn't want to see him, she didn't have to. it was her wish. "mind if i come in?" he asked in a hopeful tone. he hoped she was feeling up to seeing him. even if it was just seeing him, he didn't even need to talk to her sometimes. sometimes he just wanted to hold her and be in her company. but that's love right?

sarina beaufort stepped out of the shower and immediately wrapped a towel around her thin body. she had woken up with the feeling of being not-clean, and that was the worst thing for her. she had a thing with being clean, prettied up (for the right people) and as beautiful as she could make herself seem. the problem was, even though her outside was beautiful, the inside was the opposite. no, i'm not talking about blood and guts, i'm talking about her soul; her mind. it had been affected deeply since the shooting, and it seemed like she had immediately had a split personality. it was a horrible thing, really, because she used to be known just like her little sister skylar. sarina used to be fun, energetic, loving, and extremely open and honest with people. now, she was low, a self-putdown, closed off and kept things to herself. well, she did have her diary. but sometimes she felt like she needed to tell people these things.
it didn't feel right telling skylar about her problems, because sarina found it awkward to talk about things in her life with her younger sister. that was nother thing that had changed, too. the three beaufort girls had been known to all have long brown hair, beautiful eyes, and an overall pretty complextion. now, it seemed like there was only two. sarina had gone to her older sister about everything, and so had skylar. sarina didn't have to explain or help anyone very much in her household, so that was fine with her. she was never really good putting words together, but always knew how to physically act in a situation. sarina used another towel to wrap her hair in and walked across the carpeted hallway to her bedroom. she sat on her bed for a moment and was about to text one of her friends when she saw that she had a voicemail. hmm, that was odd. she usually heard her messages because she had the volume for her ringtone all the way up. oh well. sarina pressed the ok button and threw the phone lightly onto her dresser, when she heard a beep and an oh-so-familiar voice.
"hey sarina, it's oliver. i'm stopping by. be there soon. love you," oh, it was oliver. she wondered why he didn't call the house phone. oh well, that didn't matter. the sound of his voice forming the words 'love you' still managed to make her stomach flop, and a small smile crept its way onto her lips. this had managed to lighten her day a bit, and she shut off her phone as she walked out of her doorway once again. walking down the stairs, a hand on the handrail, sarina really wished that she had put her knee brace on. she looked back up the stairs, and then figured that she was already halfway down, so she might as well continue on her way. she walked past the living room, where skylar had settled down with a cup of steaming blueberry tea. it smelled really good, so sarina limped her way to the kitchen and asked her mother to make her some, too. sure, honey. is your knee hurting again? make sure you put your knee brace on when you get upstairs. do you want skylar to go get it for you? sarina shook her head. her mother really cared about her and the state of her knee, and she knew that she really wanted sarina to enter figure skating again. there was a fat chance that was going to happen. no, mom. that's fine. i can make it. sarina smiled at her mother just as she heard a small click which meant the water was done and she could have some delicious tea in no time. her mother prepared it for her, then handed it to her carefully. oh, mom? oliver is coming over. so. if he comes to the door, can you get it please? her mother nodded,a nd sarina smield her thanks. from there, she limped up the stairs and back to her room where she managed to get dressed. she had a gray mini-skirt and a printed tee, probably her most common way of dressing. it was comfortable and easy to get into, so it put less stress on her knee. looking at her closet, sarina thought that it might be a good idea to put her brace on until oliver got here. then she'd take it off, because she did not want him to be all sympathetic all over it. it wasn't that big of a deal. sitting down at her dresser, she turned on her wet to dry straightener and waited for it to heat up. while she waite, she fetched her knee brace and put it on. it was so ugly. it did absolutely nothing for her self-esteem. she sighed, turned towards her mirror and started straightening her hair. soon enough, she heard a soft knocking on the door, and her stomach flipped once more. she still felt really happy when he came around, even though she couldn't manage to show it very often. "mind if i come in?" sarina shook her head, even though he couldn't see. no. come in. she abandoned straightening most of her hair, instead she pulled the majority back in a ponytail that went halfway down her back. she straightened her bangs and a few loose strands of hair, then clicked her stflat iron off and spuun on her chair to face him, offering him a soft smile. opening the door to sarina's room and seeing her face made oliver's heart go into complete mush mode. sarina was amazingly beautiful. she always had been, since the day he first laid eyes on her. even with her hair just thrown up and in simply clothes, she could pass for a model. oliver could remember almost every detail of the day he met sarina. it was practically love at first sight, or at least it was for him. and still to this day, every time he saw her, he felt the same feelings as he had that first day.
"hey babe," he said walking over to the chair she was sitting in. he gave her a small kiss on the lips. her lips felt amazingly soft. He felt the butterflies in his stomach go haywire just from the small kiss they shared. honestly, he had no idea why but there was just something about sarina, something that made her seemingly perfect in his eyes. no matter how screwed up she was. one thing that was good about the way sarina made him feel, was that most of the time, she made him forget about sarina. he never worried about seeing her when sarina was in a good mood. and thankfully for today, sarina seemed happy. it was good to see her smile, she looked prettier when she smiled. he loved her smile, and always did his best to keep it on her face for as long as he could.
looking at sarina, he noticed she had her knee brace on. he wondered if it was bothering her today. when sarina hurt her knee, oliver had been extremely worried about her. but now he was glad to see that it only bothered her a lot when she was really active. "is your knee bothering you?" he didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable, but he was just concerned. he didn't want to take her out and have her hurt her knee any more then it already was. to him, sarina was his fragile little piece of glass. he never wanted it broken, or even get the smallest crack. oliver knew that sarina really hated when he treated her like a baby, or anything of the like, but he just never wanted to see her in pain, in anyway. and even though he couldn't fix every emotional thing in her life, he could watch out for the physical pain.
"so i was thinking about heading out to the mall, care to join me?" he asked in a sweet voice. most of the time, sarina wasn't up for going out anywhere, but he hoped she would be up for going to the mall. oliver really did not want to stand, so he went over and sat on sarina's bed. her bed was really comfortable. being as he and sarina had been dating for as long as they were, being in her room wasn't awkward or anything. they were really close, and she was his best friend. "it's cool if you're not up for it though, we could just stay here," he said shrugging his shoulders. he never really could tell what sarina was up for doing. her moods could change pretty easily. right now, she seemed happy, or at least happy to see him. he really wanted her to let him take her out. maybe they could go out for lunch, or he could buy her something special. any time spent with sarina was good for him. even if she wasn't in the bests of moods. he just kept a smile on his face, and his eyes focused on her. "whatcha think?"

when he walked in, she kept the small kind smile on her face. so far, she was in a really good mood. not the best of moods, but she was happy and content and all she could smell was blueberries. that smell seemed to make her extremely relaxed, and that was a good thing to be if you lived in sarina's mind. hi. her voice was soft, quiet, and it seemed like if she even raised her tone a bit, her voice would start cracking. no doubt it would, too, because she was always on the verge of tears. you'd think that after a few long hard months of almost solid crying you wouldn't have anything left to physically cry out, but sarina would prove you wrong. she missed talking to her sister. she missed having little sleepovers, and she even missed their little arguements. the three girls were the best friends sisters could ever possibly ever be, and that was how they wanted it to stay. only having skylar and sarina made the house seem empty somehow. and it hurt. it should be full of excitement and joy, but it was much the opposite.
when he kissed her, it felt like her knee was numb, like she couldn't feel the pain anymore. although that was strange, and it should've made her stomach flop, it made her feel better about everything. now in an even better mood than she was, she folded her hands in her lap and smiled up at him. when he asked about her knee, her smile faltered for a moment, but then she told herself that he was just trying to make her feel better. it was working, too. she managed to regain her smile and she shrugged. yeah. it's fine now. i think it was just because i had a shower and the humidity ... and yeah. her words were obviously going nowhere, and she shut herself up. rambling on and on would make her seem incredibly stupid, and that was one of the last things she ever wanted to be viewed as.
then she remembred that she was going to take the brace off, and quickly did so. she threw it in the direction of her closet, and it made a soft thud on the floor as it landed on various shirts and a pair of jeans. ugh. she had some major cleaning to do. she hated her room to be dirty, and it was even worse that oliver saw it like this. sarina suddenly got the bright idea to start cleaning, but resisted the urge to do that and reached for her cup of tea which was still steaming, but had cooled considerably. she raised the white porceline to her lips and took a small sip before lowering it to her lap. she had obviously not dried off her face enough, obviously, because she could feel drops of water on her forehead and her cheeks. she qiped them off with one smooth hand gesture, and took another sip of her delicious tea.
"so i was thinking about heading out to the mall, care to join me?" eesh. sarina bit her lip and looked down at her tea, contemplating. she probably should go out with oliver, she hadn't been out in a while. her gaze went to the mirror that was resting on her dresser, and she adjusted her ponytail. she didn't ahve make up or anything on, and she sighed. she looked like she just rolled out of bed. not ideal mall-going conditions. sarina's brown eyes could see oliver sit behidn her on her bed and she thought about how he must feel about all of this. sarina had been in a horrible mood since the shooting, and she was dragging everyone down with her. he was always trying to bring her back up. she had turned him down on going-out opportunities so many times in the past few eeks. sarina definately owed him one. her eyes flickered to her bottle of mascara and opened the lid, and gently applied it to her top eyelashes.
"whatcha think?" after she was done with her tiny bit of makeup, she spinned around on her spinny chair to face him again. um, yeah. sure. a smile returned to her mouth as she looked at oliver. hopefully this would maybe make him feel better. hopefully it would meake her feel better too.

from sarina's tone of voice, she seemed to be in her normal state of mind. it wasn't a mood of happiness, but it wasn't one of total depression either. that made oliver feel a little bit better about wanting to take her out. for once, sarina's room looked like she had actually picked a few things up. to oliver, the disorder of this room was actually pretty clean. he wondered if sarina had been doing any better with her emotions and what not. but then again, that wasn't his job to patrol. it was his job to love her, and love her no matter what. he could not be the one that hurt her.
"yeah it's fine now." oliver wondered if she actually meant what she was saying. her voice trailed off as nothing mattered, and oliver could tell she didn't want to talk about it. oliver never really bothered sarina about her knee all that much. he just made sure she didn't get any more injured, and tried to do whatever he could to help her. "oh, okay."
his tone could not be very well read at the moment. he hadn't been expected a yes or no answer from sarina about her knee, but a part of him was upset that she didn't tell him how she was really feeling. oliver watched as sarina took off her brace and threw it in the closet. glancing over to the closet he could see the mess that was outpouring from it. a part of him wasn't surprised. sarina was never really up for much, especially cleaning her room. a sweet smile formed upon oliver's face as he watched sarina sip her tea. even he could smell the aroma of blueberries that filled the room. it brought back memory after memory of just sitting around with sarina as she drank tea. it seemed like a little bit of tea could always be a pick-me-up for her. looking around the room, he really didn't note much else to tell him how she was feeling recently. he hadn't really stopped by her house this past week due to school work and what not, so he wasn't exactly sure how her week had gone. in school she was her usual self, which gave no indication of her inner emotions. out of the corner of his eye, oliver could see sarina take out her mascara and brush some on her eyelashes. he couldn't help but smile. he knew that meant she would go with him. no matter how she was feeling, oliver was glad that she was okay with going with him. even if it was just to go to the mall and just do whatever. seeing sarina spin herself around, and place a smile on her face made oliver's heart jump. even just a small smile made him feel one hundred times better then he had been feeling. "um, yeah. sure" her words were a bit cold and distant. but he knew that was just her way of saying yes, even though she wasn't completely up for it. he wanted to make her feel better. "you ready then?" he asked as he stood up off of her bed. seeing as it didn't look like she was going to do much else, he walked over to the chair where she was sitting and extended his hand down to her. of course, even though she had said that her knee was fine, sarina knew that oliver could see through it. putting the brace on for only a few minutes didn't really do a whole lot of good, but hopefully once she was around and about she would feel better. well, physically anyway. sarina was already feeling a bit better emotionally because oliver had surprised her with a visit, and now an accepted trip to the mall. even though the mall was defiantely not her favorite place to go anymore, being with oliver should make it better. she loved him, she was sure that he loved her, and she wouldn't choose anyone else other than him to spend today with. skylar had somehow become distant from her, but that was to be expected because there was an obvious void because of celeste being ... well, sarina couldn't even think about that anymore. she couldn't cry in front of oliver anymore, or at least not for another long while. it seemed like every time they had been together for the past bit, sarina had found something to be teary about, even if they were just taking a walk. she knew that he was probably getting tired of that, and that was probably why he hadn't stopped by this past week.
sarina cradled the warm cup of tea in her hands, and watched as the remaining liquid inside seemed to never stay still. she always seemed shaky, and her hands always managed to be the most shook. maybe it was a nervous reaction. maybe that was just how she was. maybe it was because she wasn't eating healthy. she should be eating healthy, though, because her mother made sure everyone in the house was well cared for, and even made some of the girls' friends eat over if they seemed hungry. people had often said that sarina was a spinning image of her mother, but nowadays, skylar seemed to be taking up that position in sarina's mind. she didn't care much, either. that just meant more alone time, and that was exactly what sarina liked.
the sixteen-year-old ran her hair through her bangs again, and nodded at oliver's words. she supposed that she was ready to go, she was looking the best she could for now. even though she knew she could've applied some lip gloss or something, sarina could easily just take her purse with her. she quickly licked her lips and set her tea on the dresser on top of a stack of papers that were probably something to do with school. she was way, way behidn on her schoolwork, which was odd to other people because if she had all this time to herself, she shouldn't be this far behind. but honestly, sarina spent that spare time sleeping or reading a book. she had turned from the most bubbly, energetic girl to the boring bookworm nobody knew anymore.
when oliver got up and walked the few steps over to the chair, sarina took his hand and pulled herself up, putting most of her weight on her left leg, the one that was completely fine and not full of cracked bones. she snatched her silver purse from the floor which contained her cell phone, her lip gloss, her wallet, and pretty much anythign else. she had a survival kit in one small area. that was cool. sarina looked up at oliver and smiled, then started to walk out of her room. she wondered what he had in store for today. hopefully it wasn't something that would hurt her knee. afterall, there was no way she was bringing her brace out into public. and she would not be wewaring it. ugh.

oliver could tell that sarina's knee was still bothering her, but didn't want to start an argument with her. he knew she hated the brace, and that was that. he would just have to make sure he kept her comfortable, and not in pain. he could tell that something was bothering her. at this point, he wasn't really sure what was going on in her mind. he knew he had not been spending much time with her. inside, oliver wasn't really sure if that was because he would rather spend time with skylar, or if he was just not wanting to hurt sarina any more than she had been hurt by others. he had seen sarina through so much, he held her when she cried. he felt like she would be just a mess if he left her now, especially when she found out why. and plus, he wanted to be with sarina, or at least he did..for now. and he wanted to spend as much time with her as possible. maybe spending time with her would make him realize that skylar wasn't who he wanted. that he really did want sarina, and only sarina.
he simply watched as sarina held her tea. he could see her fingers and her hand shaking the cup and it seemed involuntary. she was nervous, he could tell. going out in public was no longer one of sarina's strong points. the two of them had once been just bubbly and entergetic and always having fun and being the life of the party. but now, sarina was quiet, and kept to herself. but oliver had kept his bubbly happiness through everything, and he wanted to share part of that with sarina, but she just wasn't going to change overnight. he needed, no he wanted to help her. it was the least that he could do for her. he didn't want her to feel alone, or afraid of any of those things. she could depend on him, if not anything. and that was how he wanted things to be.
when sarina placed her cup on the dresser, he noticed all the papers that covered her dresser. from what he could see, they were all unfinished homework assignments. a part of oliver wasn't surprised. in school, sarina was distant, and didn't always pay attention. she didn't spend much time worrying about school anymore. oliver just figured she wasn't really into doing anything, or being anything for that better. she just wanted to be alone, and oliver respected her wishes, most of the time. and he wasn't her mother, it wasn't his job to police her academic failure or success. if she wanted his help in that area, she would have asked. he wasn't going to push school on her, she had enough to deal with.
oliver couldn't help but smile as sarina took his hand and got up. he could feel her shifting her weight to her good leg. if he knew sarina, he knew that she would not be going out to the mall with her knee brace on, so he didn't even bother ask if she wanted to put it back on. she could be one stubborn girl if she wanted to be. when she smiled, his entire body felt like it was floating. even the littlest smile from sarina made him feel amazing. it was like a high that could only be attained once in forever. he held onto her hand as they walked out of her room and out into her house.
with her hand in his, oliver led sarina out of the house. it look almost all of his strength to not look or say anything to skylar as he could hear her in the other room as they were leaving. he walked sarina over to the passanger side of his car and opened the door for him. oliver considered himself quite a gentleman. he wanted to make sarina feel like a princess. even if she didn't want to feel that way. oliver got in the driver seat of the car, and put the key in the ignition. "so any preference as to what we do today," he said looking at her with a smile. he wasn't sure what sarina was up to doing, so he figured he would ask her as they started to drive away.

maybe sarina was glad that she was finally going out somewhere, and not being locked up in her room like a princess locked up in the tallest tower by her evil parents. although it was pretty much the opposite of that. mr and mrs beaufort tried everything they could think of to get sarina out from her messy room and into the living room to have a family movie night, or into the kitchen to eat with everyone else, but that failed almost all the time. they used to have 'family movie nights' when celeste was around, and now that she wasn't, it just felt wrong to sarina to have a so-called 'family' get-together when someone from the family wasn't even there. and she did eat meals with the family, anyway. her and skylar often woke up at the same time, so they had breakfast together and occasionally spoke during that whole process. she would eat lunch with either jake or jason, depending on who was around. if nobody was there, she'd eat by herself. and usually by the time that supper came around, sarina just wasn't hungry. there was absolutely no use eating if you're not hungry, right?
so i guess you've noticed by now that sarina doesn't spend much time with her parents, either. on occasion, her mother would come upstairs to try and have little 'girl talks' with her. you know, talk about boys, makeup, hair, blahblahblah. sarina didn't need to talk about that stuff. she was much better with thinking. she did a lot of it these days. mostly she thought about celeste and oliver, and then she'd think about other things like the rest of her family, why she was sitting all by herself, what was she going to do, why was she so bored, and after everything else, school. school had absolutely no importance to her. afterall, wasn't it school that got her entire family into this mess? maybe if the beauforts had been away or their parents chose to homeschool them celeste wouldn't be in the hospital and sarina wouldn't be so ... depressed right now. but since her parents were probably never going to homeschool all of the beaufort children, sarina would have to put up with school and those glances she got from everyone.
that was another reason why she didn't like going out to malls and stuff like that. those ignorant people who had no idea what they were dealing with when it came to sarina. she knew that some of the people (mostly girls) that she spoke to would smile at her then turn right around and talk behind her back. well, sometimes it wasn't even behind her back. sometimes she could hear them talking. and nothing hurt more than that. although she had learned to live with it, it still got at her. it wasn't a great thing, to be gossiped about. and it didn't help her friend situation, either. if people thought you were always down and didn't talk, then nobody would want to be around you. and that is why sarina was like that. it was like a continuous circle.
but being with oliver was different. oliver didn't judge sarina, and he was one of the people who sarina could trust the most. he knew pretty much everything there was to know about her, and that made her feel comforted. he seemed to make everything feel better, and even when she thought that her knee would hurt from walking, the usual sharp pain from getting up so quickly seemed to be dimmed and almost cut out from the feeling of their hands touching. getting down the stairs wasn't really a problem with oliver. she had someone else to lean on, instead of leaning on the wobbly hand rails and not having anything to steady her weight. there may not be much of it, but it was still there.
when oliver and sarina passed to go out the door, sarina's mother passed by with one of their cats in her arms. sarina told her mom that she was going out, and for once her mother looked happy, like a load had been lifted off her shoulders. sarina raised an eyebrow with a bit of confusion, then figured it would just be easier to let it go. she had enough to worry about, didn't she? plus, she had to try and make herself seem happy for the rest of today. or when she was with oliver, at least. maybe he could even get it so her feelings were genuine. she slipped her feet into a pair of her shoes and walked with oliver to his car, where he very gentlemanly opened the door for her. the corners of her mouth turned up and she sat on the seat, waiting for oliver to get in so they could leave.
oliver started the car, and sarina put her purse on the floor between her feet. when he asked her what they should do, sarina shrugged. "i have no idea. you can choose." truth be told, she hadn't really been to the mall in a long while. sarina had sort of forgot what was in it, because usually when she went there it was just with skylar and skylar always had her mind set on one or two stores, and then they were out of there. sarina hadn't actually taken the time to browse around the mall since ... well, last christmas when she bought gifts for everyone. sarina laid her head back on the head rest and sighed. it wasn't an angry sigh, a tired sigh, or a 'meh' sigh. it was just ... a sigh. one with absolutely no emotion. she turned her head and watched oliver drive. oh, he was so cute. the though made her eyes seem to go softer, and her lips curled up in a small smile once again.

sitting in the car with sarina was nice. oliver felt that he was actually wanted by her. he knew that she was having trouble living life, and he wanted to make her feel better. he wanted to make everything perfect for her. that was probably one of oliver biggest flaws. he was always trying to make people happy. he could not stand to see anyone upset. a smile was always seen on his face, no matter what was really in his heart. oliver kinsley was just one of those all-around loving guys. sure, a lot of times people did not want to smile, or be cheered up, but oliver always tried anyways. he cared about his friends, and hated to see anyone, even an enemy in a bad position. it especially was hard on him when it was sarina he was cheering up. he just loved her so much, and seeing her anything other then happy just made him want to be the best boyfriend in the world.
it had been a while since oliver had really gone to the mall. he wasn't really a fan of shopping or places filled with little girls and just annoying people. a part of him hated being in crowded places, but he didn't mind going to the mall once in a while. oliver hadn't really thought about what it was he actually wanted to do at the mall. his mind had been so occupied with being there for sarina that he had not had time to think about what it was he was going to do to get her in a better mood. "well, we could go see a movie. or maybe go shopping, i'm sure there is something you would like," he said with his lips curling into a smile. sarina used to enjoy going shopping. and oddly enough, he didn't mind shopping with her. even though most guys hated shopping with their girlfriends, it was just more time oliver could spend with sarina. and he always loved to be able to buy her something nice.
"but i don't really know, i guess i hadn't thought about what we would do,"
he said shrugging his shoulders. he looked over at sarina and he saw a smile had formed on her lips. oliver couldn't help but form a huge smile of his own on his mouth. seeing her smile was just something that could honestly light up a room. she was beautiful, and that was one thing oliver would never forget. there was just something about her, that no matter what, she just looked sweet. and loving. it was pure emotion to him. and he didn't care. after a second, oliver realized he had to pay attention to driving and not to sarina's actions at the moment. the last thing he wanted to do was get into an accident. with his eyes focused back on the road, oliver reached one of his hands over towards sarina and placed it on top of hers. he could feel the warmth of her hand radiate throughout his entire body. it was like a shock of energy flowed from her hand to his. whenever oliver even ever so slightly touched sarina, he felt like it was the first time. he felt like a little kid tugging at a girls' ponytail just because he liked her. something about his feelings for sarina were just so pure, so pure and so real. if only he could keep things that way. but oliver knew that somewhere in his mind, even if it was just being pushed back, skylar was lurking back there. and skylar, well, she was beautiful. and a part of him felt those same feelings as he felt for sarina for skylar. and even though he knew it was wrong, thoughts of skylar came up into his mind. he quickly shook his head and allowed his thumb to stroke sarina's hand. and slowly his mind went back to sarina. sarina turned her head to look out of the window. even though they were driving through the city, and she had been down this street a zillion times, she still found the sights incredibly amazing. they seemed to always be changing, whether it be houses, signs or the people, she just found it so interesting. there were kids walking around in groups, hardly paying attention to each other while they texted their other friends who were fortunate enough to not be with them, old people sitting outside enjoying a cup of tea or some sort of old people food, and kids playing outside. she would kill to be able to do something like that and just be normal - although she didn't think she'd be able to kill anything. even though sarina was angry - really angry - she still thought she wouldn't have the capability to take someone elses life. and think of the persons family! sarina would feel horrible and probably wind up killing herself.
she looked over at oliver, who was still driving, and listened to him suggest things to do. "a movie sounds good. i think i'd like that." the girl gave her boyfriend another small, shy smile and looked away and back out the window. she fidgeted around in her seat for a moment, and then looked ahead inside of out her window. things were much easier to see when you saw them from a distance. traffic didn't seem that bad, but there were still a lot of vehicles on the road. a guy in a wife-beater drove up beside them in a rusty truck and looked down at her. sarina quickly looked away from the window and down to her lap. she wasn't much a fan of creeping on people while she was going somewhere. she heard the truck rev up and pull ahead of olivers car, and she felt a small bit of relief. that guy was sort of creepy.
"but i don't really know, i guess i hadn't thought about what we would do," at these words, sarina smiled again and shook her head. ”we’ll find something to do.” was sarina ... excited about this? That was strange. She usually didn’t feel excited about anything. But perhaps she was just excited to get out of the house, especially if it was with oliver. He was just ... the best. There were no other words to describe him. Well, yeah, there were. But everything just came back to him being one of the best things in her life. And just when she thought he couldn’t get any awesomer, he held her hand. Even though it was a small act, it still made her cheeks flush a bit. His hand was very warm, compared to hers. Sarina, for some reason, had a very cold body even when she was perfectly healthy. Well, she was healthy physically. When oliver started moving his thumb, she smiled and looked down at their hands. It felt like the first time they had held hands, and that feeling was spectacular. She rested her head back on the headrest and looked over at him, concentrated on driving.
