REMIND ME AGAIN, WHAT'S THE NAME YOUR PARENTS GAVE YOU, ANY SIGNIFICANCE ?- - - - - my full name would be damien adam randolph. ever since i was little i’ve hated my first name. it sounds so gay, but that doesn’t matter because my friends and pretty much everyone but teachers and my parents called me adam. i mean, adam isn’t all that great either, but it’s a hell of a lot better than damien. adam was my dad’s middle name and my paternal grandpa’s first name, so that’s how that came about. damien, i don’t know. maybe my mom was high when she had me or something and came up with that name. dad sure didn’t have a part to play in it, after all. he was out fucking some other woman in a nightclub or whatever at the time i’m sure.

I CAN NEVER GET ENOUGH OF THE STORY SURROUNDING YOUR BIRTH.- - - - - i’m twenty-two and i was born on may sixth, a number of years ago. all i know was that dad was nowhere to be found even though he and my mom were married at the time. not that i care, though. they were divorced practically a week after i was born and i haven’t spent much time with him after that. everything went smoothly otherwise, i’m assuming, seeing as i’m still here.
` YOU LOOK FAMILIAR, HAVE I SEEN YOU AROUND SCHOOL ?- - - - - well yes, being a science teacher that wouldn’t surprise me. i’m not really sure what the students think of me; i’ve never asked. i’m not really strict or anything so i guess they’re okay with me. i hardly have to give out detentions. well, maybe that’s partly because i spend part of class every time joking around with them and don’t freak out on them when they take out their cell phones, mostly because i do the same thing. did you know teachers aren’t allowed to use cell phones during class either? i was told that a few days ago when my boss came in and caught me texting and i got in trouble just like any other student. but yeah, anyways. i’m the physical science teacher here at carson, pretty much the main one seeing as this particular department isn’t all too huge.

WHERE ARE YOU FROM ?- - - - - i’m from, well, here. i mean really, it wasn’t all that long ago that i was a student here at grand ole carson high school. then i went to college for teaching and here i am, back again already. i’ll probably be teaching here for the rest of my life too. i’ll be one of those old buggers who still go to teach when he’s sixty-five. but yeah. i’ve always lived here. my mom and i have never moved before in our life. dad moved, but that was on my sixth birthday.

IF YOU HAD TO PICK ONE THING THAT HAS SCARED YOU THE MOST, WHAT WOULD IT BE ?- - - - - well, to be honest, i’m totally afraid of heights. i always have been since i was a little kid. it’s sort of an irrational fear since i’ve never had a bad experience with it or anything but i can’t help it; i’m scared of heights and that’s how it is. hmm, what else am i afraid of? i’m afraid of losing my job, obviously. i’d be nothing without it. not to mention poor.

HOW DO YOU DO WITH RELATIONSHIPS ?- - - - - well i’m not gonna lie, i do like my women. i guess i’m not really against relationships, but i’ve spent more time hooking up with women after drinking with them than meeting one at a coffee shop and going out or something like that. i really wouldn’t mind it, though. this is just easier, it seems.

A LITTLE BIRD TOLD ME THAT YOU HAVE SOME PRETTY EXTRAVAGANT PARENTS, TELL ME ABOUT THEM.- - - - - let’s start with my dad to get him out of the way. charles adam randolph, the biggest bastard in the world. i hate him. i really fucking do. he’s one of the only people that can get me swearing like a friggin sailor. he started cheating on my mom around the time she got pregnant with me, and they got divorced about a week after i was born. mom had finally had enough, it seems. only problem was, i was forced to go visit him every other week (monday through friday) and every other sunday. it sucked ass, i can tell you that. he was the worst father in the world and i’m glad to be rid of him. see, he moved on my sixth birthday. shows how much he cared if he moved on my birthday. but yeah. depressing talk done. my mom, on the other hand, is a pretty great woman. she goes by the name of mary elle randolph, though i personally call her mom and i’m sure she wouldn’t mind if you did too. she works as a secretary person at the county courthouse and whatnot.
