Definition: Static characters are minor characters in a work of fiction who do not undergo substantial change or growth in the course of a story. Also referred to as "two-dimensional characters" or "flat characters," they play a supporting role to the main character, who as a rule should be round, or complex. [Definition found here.] In other words, these are the characters that aren't role played and don't have applications but play a role in this plot. These are the characters that were affected in the shooting and in return, affect our characters. This way we know what characters are being talked about rather then "one of the people who were shot". If you have anything to add about a certain character or would like to say that your character was related to one, friends with one, etc. just pm a staff member.
CREDITS: These amazing static characters were created by our amazing members Sketch and Face! They put a lot of hard work into them and they turned out amazing. <3 And we love them. (:

Jack Daniel Creealessandro de marco - eighteen - junior - shooter - deceased Jack was always a troubled kid. His mother was a non-diagnosed schizophrenic and was always moving from one man's house to the next, while his dad was who-knows-where. His dad came back into the picture a few times but only ever long enough to drag Jack, his mother, and his sister out of the house they were staying at and to some other place. The angry, abusive man would stay for a few days and then disappear again. Since Jack's mom couldn't pay for the house they were staying at they would once again move into some random man's house until the good old man came back and tracked them down again. It was a tiring, never-ending cycle. Jack never learned to deal with it and often locked himself up or turned to drugs just to get away from it all.
Jack never did well in school. At the age of eighteen he was only a junior and from the looks of it, he wasn't going to pass that grade either. He didn't have many friends except for his sister [Maisie Cree], his girlfriend [Lola Floyd], his best friend [Jamie Bolton], and his dealer [Joe Kennedy]. Instead of trying to do well in school, Jack succeeded in other things such as music and writing. He was a musician in everything he did, always making some sort of song or little tune. His music tended to be very expressive. At first a lot of it sounded very angry but after time it sounded more at peace, like he had finally come to terms with himself. People took this as a good sign, thinking he had finally calmed down and wasn't going to do anything stupid. The problem was, he had finally calmed down because he was going to do something stupid. He had a plan. He was going to make everything better.
On May 17th, Jack sent his girlfriend a text message, saying tomorrow would be the day he was going to do it. For awhile now Jack had been talking about killing people with Jamie. The two boys had made 'kill lists', which had the names of everyone that they wanted gone. He wanted to set things straight and this seemed like a good way to do it. No one had ever taken Jack seriously when he said these types of things and they were used to just going along with the "joke". So, like any of Jack's friends would, Lola laughed it off and told him to go ahead. On May 18th, 2010, Jack Daniel Cree went ahead. He took the lives of five students, put one in a coma, and sent bullets in the direction of a few more students who were injured. He then shot himself. While most were greatly shaken about the deaths and injuries of the victims who were shot, few cared about the victim of abuse, mental and emotional instability and depression - Jack Cree.
Celeste Marie Beaufortleighton meester - eighteen - senior - victim - coma During the shooting, Celeste was injured but not murdered. She is now in the hospital, stuck in a coma for who knows how long. Her family, especially her sisters [Sarina and Skylar Beaufort] who go to Carson High School, have been affected greatly by this tragedy and are unsure of how to deal with. Celeste isn't dead but neither does she seem very alive. What is there to do other then to be confused and fight amongst other family members?
Celeste was the person in the family that everyone was closest to. She was the girl that friends and family would always go to when they needed something. Trying to decide what to do without her is fairly complicated for most. Do they move on with their lives or wake for her to wake up and join back in? What happens if she never wakes up?
Remington Patrick Cohenharry judd - eighteen - senior - victim - deceased Remington was quite the popular kid in school for many reasons. The main reason was just that he was much taller then most of the school body. He was one of the first people you would notice since his tall, muscular frame stood out from the other people in the hallways. Because of his build, he was also on most sport teams and fairly good at them. If this wasn't all enough, the boy was known for having a heart of gold. He was more serious then most teenagers, but still knew how to have a good time. However, having a good time for him did not consist of making fun of people. He tried to accept most people and tried to use his popularity to encourage others to do likewise. The problem was Jack always doubted Remington's sincerity whenever Remington was nice to him. Jack saw it as some sort of sick joke and he didn't like being on the stupid end of it.
Remington was an only child and was raised by his dear grandmother after his grandfather passed when he was thirteen. After his death his grandmother sold her house and moved into an old age home. It is expected that she won't last long without her grandson to keep her company. While Remmington dated a lot of different cheerleaders that his friends set him up with he never really settled down. Rumor has it he slept with a girl from a different school in his junior year and when he died he left his year old son without a father. Whether the rumor is true or not, not many know, people mostly dropped it after he died since they wanted to remember him as the good guy.
Jenna Parker Raleighamanda seyfried - seventeen - senior - victim - deceased The place of a person in social hierarchy was never more prominent than it was at Carson High, and if there was a queen to the throne, it would have to be Jenna Parker Raleigh. Unlike most popular girls, Jenna was kind and sociable, but very judgmental and often allowed others to think for her. If you crossed Jenna once, her opinion would never change about you, and your image would forever be engrossed in her head the way she first met you.
Jenna was an aspiring model, but was often turned down at jobs for being too short, and so instead she took her beauty to high school, where she flaunted her perfect looks to the lustful eyes of the boys and envious stares of the girls. When Jenna was a sophomore, by chance she encountered Jack Cree and flirted with him, but of course, she was just teasing him. Jack didn't have much of a reason to go after her anyway, for he was already happy with Lola Floyd, but later when he discovered she joking around with him, he found himself angry with the fact she led him on. Because Jenna never gave Jack a second glance, his anger built up, until the day of the shooting and their was encounter was fatal on Jenna's part.
Bryce Clayton O'Connerryan sheckler - seventeen - junior - victim - deceased Bryce was the guy who was always joking around and making perverted references and dirty jokes. He never really seriously dated but was known for juggling multiple girls at one time. While some people hated him for this, others couldn't help but to give in to his charm and care-free ways. He was known as "one of the boys" always out having fun and pulling stupid stunts. While he wasn't much of a sport player he was known for skateboarding and a bit of biking.
Bryce and Jack never quite saw eye-to-eye. Jack was on the butt end of many of Bryce's jokes and never really found them funny. They had been known to get in a few fist fights, but Bryce usually had enough back up to get out unharmed and Jack was usually dragged away by one of his few friends. When Bryce began playing his little game of flirting with Maisie he made a running jump over crossing the line and was right away put on the top of the list for Jack's little plan.
Bryce was the oldest of two kids. His sister was three years younger then him, being fourteen and in eighth grade. His sister and him were never too close, but he was always there for her whenever people were picking on her and she needed some back up to make them leave her alone. With Bryce gone his sister isn't sure who to turn to anymore, especially since mom and dad are still too busy mourning to realize their daughter isn't doing too well.
Athena Rose Evertaya kamiki - sixteen - sophomore - victim - deceased Athena Rose Evert was quite different from most kids at Carson High: adopted from China at birth, she never mixed in well with the crowds, but people remembered her to be sweet, kind, and caring. A natural artist, you could often find Athena painting in the art studio, well before school started and long after it closed.
Athena's death was an accident, although who's to say the incident was intentional, anyway? She simply got in the way of the shooter, Jack Cree, as she tried to save a group of friends. While her peers made it out alive, Athena took a bullet to the shoulder and later died from bleeding out. She is remembered for her heroic efforts.
Christa Jordyn Deckershante noblick - fifteen - freshman - victim - deceased Christa was a bubbly, loud, an slightly obnoxious girl. It was her first year of highschool and she desperately wanted to fit in. She wasn't really sure how to accompish this without bringing other people down so that's exactly what she did. Although she wasn't very good at it, she made fun of people often and Jack was one of the many. She really didn't mean much harm by it and in fact often felt bad for the things that she said but Jack was too angry and confused to take this into consideration.
For the most part, Christa is remembered as a sweet girl whose fatal flaw was just trying to fit in with the wrong crowd. She was the youngest of three other children, all of which were brothers. She was always well protected and was quite innocent with few worries in her short life.
