god, driving relaxed her. honestly, if it was up to mina then she would spend her entire day driving around. but not only did she have school to worry about but there was absolutely no way she would spend her shopping money on gas. sure, she got a hefty amount of money every week but she always had to buy clothes for the latest party or event that her parents or classmates were throwing. yeah, her weekends unlike her weekdays were pretty much booked but she always made time for a nice drive. mina kept her gaze in front, enjoying the view of the trees and the sky and a multitude of buildings that basically wrecked the outdoor setting. okay, so she didn't really live in a place that was full of outdoor place and stuff but mina loved it... to a certain extent. i mean, she had spent most of her life here but everything was the same. nothing new or out of the ordinary ever happened before and then the shooting occurred and everything changed and mina just hated it. everyone tried to act like nothing had happened but it was difficult considering her best friend died. mina didn't know how people could just put it all in the past when it all happened four months ago. sure, they had a counselor that they could talk to but mina could barely think about it let alone talk about it with another human being. how could she tell a total stranger that she was not able to sleep because every time she closed her eyes she saw jack shooting her best friend. how could she tell someone that she had seen everything but instead of helping, she had remained in the shadows so that she would not lose her life. how could she tell someone that she was the most selfish human being in the word?
mina could feel the tears threatening to fall down her rosy cheeks but she held them back. not only because she hated to cry but didn't want her young sister rayne to know there was something wrong with mina. yes, mina was driving around with her sister for once but only because she begged and threatened to tell her parents that mina was leaving her for a couple of hours. oh how they would have loved to ground mina, anything to stop her from going off with colby. yes, her parents were just as vile as she was. maybe that's why they loved her so much. pretty strange combination there but she had to admit they would never be as vile as the junior who hadn't stopped jack from killing her best friend and four other people. anyways, rayne was strapped in the backseat sound asleep. how mina envied her younger sister's ability to fall asleep at any given time in any given place for that matter. but it served its purpose seeing as mina could concentrate on her thoughts without being nagged about where they were going and how long it would take to get there. there was really no planned destination, mina had already spent the past two hours stopping at the park, mcdonald's, the post office, and the mall. she contemplated going to colby's house but she knew for sure that rayne would tell on her, tattle-telling was something the young girl was praised for especially if it involved colby. so obviously, mina's parents didn't like colby very much but they did appreciate that he had almost as much money as them. key word being almost. anyways, going to colby's house was out of the questions, not that mina minded much. as usual, the young girl had taken it upon herself to act like a total bitch every time he was late.
still the question remained, where else could she go? mina thought about it for a moment but she was interrupted by a noise. she looked down and noticed that she was almost out of gas, the little pointer was actually below the line. how fucking terrific mina thought, glad that she was close to the gas station. then again, she was close to everything. she might have lived in california but their town wasn't as huge as others. anyways, she drove to the gas station and got into the first opening before another car could. a laugh slipped out of her mouth which woke up rayne. mina apologized and explained what happened to which rayne replied with a frown that indicated she was not happy. but mina ignored her and got out of the vehicle, but not before taking the key out of the ignition and rolling down the windows for rayne. she began pumping gas and noticed the car that she had beat had moved to the next spot. mina watched as the door opened only to reveal.

It wasn't every day that Ryan's parents let her use the car. Not that she didn't have the capability to drive, she just never really had money to provide for gasoline to fuel the car. Thankfully, when Ryan had got into the car, the tank was half full, giving her plenty of gas to get across town and back...hopefully. Ryan had spent the day in a book store in the next town over. Over the past two weeks, she had formed a friendship with one of the owners daughters, and she was trying to spend time with her for book talk and tea. It was nice to have someone to talk to about things that actually interested her.
Ryan had not really made any friends in Carson yet. She usually spent her days sitting at home studying or reading at home. As much as Ryan enjoyed having friends and being out and about, she wasn't exactly one of the most social people around. Unfortunately for her, Ryan's shyness came out at the worst times. Especially in school, when even finding someone to talk to proved an extremely difficult task. It upsetted Ryan that she was this way, but it was just hard for her to let her confidence shine through in certain social situations.
Driving back into town was when Ryan noticed her gas light was on. She was not exactly sure how she had managed to use that much gasoline, but she figured she might as well fill it up anyways. Personally, the thought of pumping gas absolutely repulsed her. But, Ryan did not really have a choice at this point. Her parents would freak if she brought the car back with no gas in it. Ryan sighed as she checked her mirrors and pulled into the gas station. The minute before Ryan was about to pull into the spot, another car cut her off and took the spot. Ryan did not mind waiting, but that was just beyond rude.
"Are you kidding me?! Ryan huffed as she pulled up behind the car in front of her. She watched as another girl, about her age climbed out of the front seat. A thought bubble popped above Ryan's head. She should go speak her mind to this girl. That would teach her a lesson about cutting people off. Maybe it would make her a nicer person. And it would help Ryan assert her self-confidence in this new place. As she got out of the car, Ryan tried to not even look at the girl that stood practically twenty feet away from her. She brushed her hair out of her face, and took a deep breath. Ryan managed to take her glace to the girl. To her surprise, the girl seemed to be watching and waiting for Ryan's arrival. What the.... That was the first thing that came to Ryan's mind. The girl that had cut her off was standing there, and Ryan could not help but notice the similarities in their facial features. There was just something about the way her face was carved that reminded Ryan of her own. At first, Ryan could not believe what she was seeing. She must be seeing something, it was the heat...it was something. Ryan's eyes must have been lying to her. But the closer she got to the girl, the more the resemblance shown. Ryan knew she had to say something, or else it would just look weird if she was walking up to her. "Uh, hey. That was really rude what you did back there. I think I deserve an apology." The words came off as confident and strong. Even if a million things were going through her head at this moment. It was scary, and Ryan had no idea what to do. STATUS done! FEATURING ryan and mina! twins! excitement! <3 WORD COUNT six four six NOTES sorry its not all that good x.x CREDIT # IRONICALLIZE_IT @ CAUTION 2.0

mina held the gas pump in her hands, afraid that if she let it go then the pump would fall and splatter gasoline all over her new miu miu flats. okay, so on her drive she might have spent one... or three hours at the mall but it wasn't like there was anything stopping her from shopping. okay, so rayne had tried pretty darn hard to get her to stop but as soon as mina offered to buy her new clothes, she just spazzed out and became shopping crazy herself. so the winston might have had a bit of an addiction but at least they weren't fighting while they shopped like they often did at home. rayne was much too prissy for mina's taste and the young girl always found a way to crawl under her older sister's skin. mina might have loved her to death but there was only so much she could stand. luckily, her sister was a mere freshman which meant that mina would only be in school with her for two more years then she could go to the college of her choice. which would most likely be an ivy league school because mina wanted nothing but the best.
mina began planning out her entire life while she waited for her car to fill up. she would get accepted to some of the most prestigious colleges, go to whichever one was considered the best by her parents and fellow peers (the wealthy ones at least), she would move out, meet a handsome older boy that is planning on becoming a doctor, fall in love, finish college, get married, have a job, then when she has kids with her doctor she would quit and become a stay at home mother. hell, maybe she would move on and become like her mother though mina hoped her did not get the same horrible attitude and for her marriage to end up like her parents. now that would truly be horrendous. imagine, having two children and being extremely wealthy only to split up over silly disputes that wouldn't matter if they had actually thought about whether they were going to stay together instead of fucking each other stupid and ending up pregnant. yeah, mina pretty much thought it was her fault that they got together. then again, they had already been planning the wedding so mina was technically just icing on the shitty life cake.
in the midst of all her thoughts about the future and her parent's fail of a marriage, mina did not notice that the tank was already full and she was not just standing there looking like an idiot. the only reason why she finally snapped back into reality was because of the knocking noise she heard. she turned her head only to see rayne knocking on the window, pretending to be dying of heat stroke or something. not like it was that hot outside, it was just as average as usual. the temperature was probably at 80, more or less. mina wasn't at expert at guessing these things so she didn't even try half of the time. anyways, she pulled the gas pump out, forgetting the fact that she had been looking at the car she had cut off moments before but as soon as she put the pump back into it's rightful place, her gaze went back to the car. she watched as a girl got out of the car in clothes that mina wouldn't be caught dead in. yes, mina looked at the clothes before she even thought about looking at the face. after all, you're clothes say alot about you. for example, mina's clothes said she was classy while this girl's clothes were practically screaming to be thrown away.
mina was about to laugh until she looked up and actually saw the girl's face. for a moment mina believed she was looking in a mirror, either that or she was going crazy. she was momentarily mesmerized by the familiar dark brown--almost black-- hair that framed the all too familiar pale face with rose colored lips as well as the chocolate brown eyes that had slight hints of eyeliner under them. mina stood there with her mouth gaping open but as soon as the girl approached, mina was quick to close it and cross her arms over her chest. mina was about to say something but the girl was quick to speak. upon hearing her request, mina let out a suppressed laugh. she might have been surprised by this girl's resemblance to herself, but just by the way she talked mina could tell that this girl was not like mina at all. "oh i'm sorry i didn't realize that it was my fault you're such a shitty and slow driver" mina said, the tantalizing smirk on her face. this girl must have been completely crazy if she mentioned her car instead of talking about their close resemblance. it was almost like they were... twins? but that wasn't possible, mina only had one sister and that was rayne who was still in the car.
rayne mina thought before turning to look at her sister would had returned to her slumber. mina rolled her eyes before turning back to look at the girl. "it's funny, you mention your car but not the fact that for some reason we have the same face" mina stated.

Ryan felt extremely awkward standing there just practically staring at this girl, doing everything in her power to keep her jaw from dropping to the floor. She knew that her parents lived somewhere around here. Was it possible that they had another kid after her and she would look very similar to herself? The thoughts and ideas were running though her mind so fast she felt her head was going to explode. The situation posed in front of her was beyond belief. When Ryan decided she wanted to find her birthparents, she wasn't expecting to find a sister, or something more even.
Although the girl standing in front of her, greatly resembled Ryan, the moment she opened her mouth to speak, she could tell the two had very different personalitites. Ryan could feel herself tense up as the girl insulted her on her driving, and her lack of saying something about their resemblacne. "excuse me? I haave not a 'shitty and slow driver.' Its called being aware," Ryan said trying to defend herself. It was for this reason that Ryan tended to stay away from people. She hated when people called her out, or made fun of her. It hurt her confidence and made her want to crawl up into a corner and just hide there for as long as possible. No matter what this girl said, Ryan had to keep her stance strong and not let it show that she was uncomfortable. A bit of shock spread across Ryan's face when the girl mentioned that she noticed the similarities in their faces as well. A small sigh of relief breathed over Ryan as she realized she was not crazy, and that this girl noticed it too. Ryan just stood there for a minute not really knowing how to respond to the words spoken from an all too similar mouth. "Well, what is there to say? Sure, we look a lot a like, but what explaination could there be?" Ryan was trying to sound like she wasn't completly freaked out by this whole situation. Hell, this could mean a million of things. Was this girl her sister, her twin sister even? Was this the family, the life she was supposed to have? Fancy clothes, a fancy car, things Ryan never got to have living in a large, middle class family. Ryan shook her head, she was definatley overthinking all of this. "My name is Ryan by the way," she said extending her hand hoping the girl would take it and they could get to the bottom of all of this. STATUS done! mina never felt awkward. okay, that was a lie since there had been moments of awkwardness whenever she was around her parents. then again, wouldn't you consider it awkward to be around the people who were fighting for you just to get back at each other instead of caring about the girl's well-being and coming to a mutual understanding. that awkwardness was the reason she had spent the day driving around with rayne. she might have considered her sister to be the most annoying person she had ever met, but she did not want her to be around all the fighting. aside from that, mina had never felt awkward in any other situation till now. she was half upset that rayne was asleep. for some reason, the young girl always found a way to escape awkward situations. maybe if she was awake she could break the unbearable silence as well as the tension. but alas, the young girl continued snoozing while the two girls stood there, staring at each other. anger bubbled deep in mina's stomach, threatening to show itself to this girl. but mina kept herself at ease, even though thoughts of how her parents could have done this to her ran through her head.
it was bad enough that they put her through all the fighting and the divorce but now she had to deal with the fact that she could possible have a sister. after all, there was no other explanation as to why this girl looked exactly like her. yes, there were slight differences in their appearance ... wait differences! which meant that they weren't replicas, which meant that there was a possibility that the likeness in their features was just a coincidence. yes, that was it. mina let out a sigh of relief when the thought ran through her head and she slowly began to calm down. now that she was thinking rationally, mina began to notice more of the differences. like the fact that the girl's ears were slightly larger than hers though her nose was a bit smaller. her eyes were more apart than mina's yet her pale skin made mina look darker than she actually was. plus, it was obvious that their personalities were extremely different. mina couldn't help but laugh when the girl tried to defend herself. "no, i'm pretty sure it's called being a shitty driver. deal with it"mina retorted. now that she was no longer angry, she could insult this girl guilt-free.
not that she felt guilty about insulting her before... okay, maybe for a second she did but out because insulting the girl made her feel like she insulted herself. pretty creepy stuff. anyways, mina continued giving the girl her famous glare. if looks could kill, then this girl was definitely in trouble. there were many explanations as to why the girls looked alike but mina didn't dare say the most obvious one. her parents would tell her if she had a twin, right? then again, how was she so sure that they were her parents. mina didn't know what to think anymore so she decided to block out that option immediately. "we could just look alike. alot of people look alike. doesn't mean anything."mina said. her experience in keeping a cool demeanor served her well right now seeing as she didn't want the girl to think that she was even slightly freaked out by this. mina was strong, showing a weak emotion like that wouldn't serve her well. for a moment, mina forgo that she didn't even know this girl's name. then again, she didn't usually ask the people she insulted what their names were. a smirk crossed her face when she heard her name.
"wow, did your parents think you were going to be a boy or what"mina said. her parents might have thought of some weird names but at least they were girl's names. well mina was a girl name while rayne could be considered to be a boy's well as well. a gay boy's name at least. she looked at ryan's hand and then looked back up at her face. "mina" she stated. mina did want to know why it was that she looked like this girl but that didn't mean that she had to change her attitude. nobody said that mina was civil.
